Embracing a successful 2025

How The Women Who UK Business Network can support you in 2025;

As we step into 2025, many of us find ourselves reflecting on our goals and aspirations.

What does 2025 look like for you?

You might be aiming to expand your business and network or seeking personal growth, whatever your plans are, this is the perfect time to look ahead and map out a pathway to success.

Here are some thoughts to help you create a thriving year.

1. Set clear goals

The foundation of any successful year starts with setting clear and achievable goals, and we’re putting a strong emphasis on the word ‘achievable’ here – Please don’t set yourself up to fail by setting unrealistic targets for yourself, this will only knock your confidence and make you question your ability.

Take time to define what success looks like for you. Are you looking to increase revenue, expand your customer audience, or enhance your skills? Write down your goals and make them specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART). This clarity will help guide your actions throughout the year.

This is something we can look at together in our networking meetings to help you stay on track and make sure you’re not putting too much pressure on yourself. Women often try to do ‘all the things’ but it’s sometimes just not realistic and having a supportive group of peers around you is really valuable in helping you keep positive and focused.

2. Embrace an open growth mindset

Adopting an open growth mindset is crucial for personal development and business success. Try not to view challenges as obstacles, but instead embrace them as opportunities to learn and develop. Recognise and accept that setbacks are part of the journey and use them as stepping stones to build resilience. This mindset can transform how you approach both personal and professional challenges.

Having a support network to turn to when you face these challenges is everything! To hear the words ‘I’ve experienced similar’ or ‘I know someone who can help’ is just what you want and need. The Women Who UK Business Network is packed full with incredibly talented and highly skilled women in business who will, undoubtedly, offer this support.

3. Prioritise learning

Every day is an opportunity to learn something new. Prioritise staying relevant, whether through formal education, online courses, or self-directed study, expanding your knowledge and skills is vital. For business owners, understanding industry trends, customer preferences, and innovative practices can provide a competitive edge. On a personal level, learning new skills can enhance your self-confidence and open new opportunities.

At The Women Who UK Business Network we are committed to helping members upskill. We offer various opportunities throughout the year for members to join face to face masterclasses and webinars. From Finance Forums to Pitch Perfect masterclasses, you’ll love getting involved.

4. Build long lasting relationships

What we do best! Despite incredible strides in recent years, female business owners are still very much on the back foot when it comes to owning and running a business. We face challenges with societal bias, work/life balance, access to funding and are offered far less opportunities in mixed networking spaces. This is why we offer women only spaces. We’re not anti-men, in fact networking with men definitely has it’s advantages … we’re just pro women.

The Women Who UK Business Network is committed to offering affordable, supportive and empowering networking environments which female entrepreneurs can thrive in. We encourage members to make genuine and long lasting connections and we discourage the hard sell! Invest time in nurturing your connections with fellow business owners, colleagues and mentors. Networking can lead to valuable collaborations and building personal relationships can provide emotional encouragement. Ultimately, your network is an extension of your business – experience different networks, choose wisely and go with your gut.

Women Who West Midlands members get free unlimited access to all of our monthly networking meetings currently based in Hereford, Worcester, Pershore, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Stourport and Bridgnorth. More locations coming soon!

5. Focus on wellbeing

Prioritise self-care by maintaining a balanced lifestyle that includes sufficient relaxation and time away from your devices. Good physical and mental health is extremely important; incorporate helpful practices like exercise, meditation or journaling into your routine. Block time out in your diary for rest days. When you take care of yourself, you create a solid foundation for achieving your goals.

The healthier you are, the healthier your busy will be.

With this in mind we created the NetworkWell strand of The Women Who UK Business Network, which helps members focus on their physical and mental wellbeing. We launched our NetworkWell Walk & Talks in 2023 which offer all members an opportunity to get away from their desks and experience a different way to network which combines the benefits of meeting like minds whilst enjoying the rejuvenating effects of nature.

100% of our members have reported that they feel clearer headed and motivated after our NetworkWell Walk & Talks. This year our NetworkWell Walk & Talks take place on Hartlebury Common, Stourport, along the River Severn in Worcester and in Malvern.

6. Review and adapt

As the year moves forward, regularly review your goals and progress. Assess what’s working and what isn’t and be willing to adapt your strategies as necessary. Flexibility allows you to respond to unexpected changes in both personal and professional areas. Life happens!

The more we get to know you, the more we’ll be able to support you. We’re here to celebrate your wins, navigate challenges with you and be that voice of reassurance when you need it.
