Meet Lizzie Swift, founder of Lizzie Swift Tarot & Palmistry

Lizzie offers hand-reading and transformational tarot to accompany you on your journey of self-discovery.

What unites these approaches is their ability to help you accept and come to rest in your authentic self, to bring you home to you. The belief in your wholeness and personal wisdom is fundamental to everything Lizzie does; holding a listening space for you to explore your own unique magic.

All the resources that you need exist within you. Palmistry and Tarot help you recognise and develop those resources. Lizzie’s role is to be your cheerleader and companion as you uncover your potential and connect with your deepest, most authentic self, which may have been neglected for far too long.

What does your business offer?
“I offer tarot guidance, palm reading, and somatic awareness sessions. Each of these practices helps people understand themselves more deeply and reconnect with their authentic selves”

Why did you start your business?
“I’m in my element when working one-to-one with people, helping them uncover more of who they are and live in a way that feels authentic. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing someone gain the confidence to shine their unique light and magic in the world”

What motivates you to keep going?
“This feels like my soul’s purpose. I find deep satisfaction in being fully present with others and supporting them as they connect with their own soul purpose. Also, I’m endlessly curious about tarot, hand reading, what it means to be human and the mystery and magic of life”

What challenges have you faced?
“Being a solo business owner can sometimes feel exhausting and isolating. Like many, I’ve faced the challenge of making a passion financially sustainable. And then there’s the “Jill of all trades” side – managing marketing, websites and especially social media, which I find draining”

What are your proudest wins?
“Although I’ve been self-employed for nearly 30 years, my professional palm and tarot work is relatively new. In just the last couple of years, every glowing testimonial has filled me with contentment. What makes me proud is seeing others grow proud of themselves. I’m constantly humbled by the vulnerability, courage and kindness people bring to this work”

What advice would you give to someone starting out?
“Spend time with your plans; sit quietly with them, walk with them, or dance with them. Listen to your body as well as your mind. Notice where energy flows and where you feel blocked. Alongside being practical, it’s vital to tend to the twin flames of your energy and your passion with regular self-care check-ins”

What do you do in your free time?
“I love hanging out with my son, writing, reading tarot, walking, photography, and sharing good conversation with friends”

“The diverse and inspiring women I’ve met, the warmth and mutual support, and the variety of networking events. Lisa and the team really care about the members, and that shines through”

Any stories to share?
“Meeting Mandy Deakin-Snell has been inspiring, and we hope to co-run workshops together. Attending networking events has also really boosted my confidence after years of solitary freelance work as a translator”
