Big Love For Petra Bland Fitness

Meet Petra Bland, the founder of Petra Bland Fitness and Head Coach at Rhythmic Gymnastics Club Worcester.

Petra is a personal trainer with a passion for helping women become stronger, healthier and more confident in their own skin.

Her journey began when she found herself struggling to keep up with her young daughter. Overweight, sluggish and unfit, Petra knew something had to change. Through strength training and sustainable nutrition, she transformed not just her body, but her relationship with food and exercise.

Now, Petra’s mission is to support women in doing the same – ditching fad diets and restrictions and instead focusing on realistic, achievable goals. At Petra Bland Fitness, the emphasis is on building strength for life and creating healthier habits that last.

We love Petra’s focus and direction! She also lets you continue to eat chocolate … winner!!

What does your business offer?
“I help women get fitter and stronger for life – without dieting and restrictions”

Why did you start your business?
“I spent over two decades yo-yo dieting and developed an unhealthy relationship with food and exercise. When I finally hired a PT, I expected just to lose weight but I fell in love with the process. For the first time, I felt strong, confident and in control. That passion inspired me to help other women move away from dieting and instead improve their relationships with food and their bodies”

What motivates you to keep going?
“The women I see every day working towards the best version of themselves”

What challenges have you faced?
“Setting boundaries; making sure I still have time with my family and to look after my own wellbeing while running two businesses”

Your proudest wins?
“That I’ve built a successful business that supports my family. For me, success isn’t six-figure incomes – it’s happiness and freedom”

What advice would you give to someone starting out?
“Start small, start messy. It will all work out eventually. And be patient: Rome wasn’t built in a day”

What do you love to do in your free time?
“Reading, swimming, running, yoga, lifting weights, meeting new people and forming deep connections, chilling with my dogs, and, most importantly, spending time outdoors with my family”

What do you love most about The Women Who Business Community?
“The empowerment and motivation. I’d never really networked before but the relaxed approach here felt right for me. I’ve built some wonderful collaborations that help women with their wellbeing, as well as real friendships”
