Big Love For EBM Photography

Meet Emma Murrills, the founder of EBM Photography.

She believes every image matters, but it’s what you do with those images that really drives your business forward.

At EBM Photography, Emma goes beyond beautiful pictures. With her Strategic Brand Photography service, she helps business owners create images that align with their marketing goals, giving them the tools and support to stay visible, consistent, and confident.

This approach works in focused, 3-month cycles designed to keep your marketing on track:

  • Enquiry Call – to understand your needs and where you’re headed
  • Strategy & Planning Meeting – to set your goals, marketing drives, and brand voice, while also planning your shoot so every image works hard for you
  • Shoot Day – where the magic truly happens
  • Content Delivery – your tailored image collection, plus 36 ready-made social media posts to save you time and stress
  • Accountability & Support – 3 months of check-ins, guidance, and encouragement to help you stay consistent and confident with your marketing

It’s this strategic approach that makes EBM Photography stand out. Emma doesn’t just hand over a gallery, she partners with you to ensure your images keep building visibility, trust, and momentum long after the shoot.

Over the years, Emma has worked with countless businesses, capturing product photography, behind-the-scenes storytelling, engaging headshots – striking brand imagery that truly speaks to clients.

Emma’s approach ensures your brand is not just seen – it’s remembered.

As part of #BigLoveForSmallBusiness we asked Emma the following questions:

Why did you start your business?
“I never set out with a plan to be a professional photographer. One day, an opportunity dropped into my lap and I rolled with it. I decided to focus solely on brand photography in 2021 because I loved helping other business owners.”

What motivates you to keep going?
“I know my service helps business owners market their businesses. Why wouldn’t I do that?”

What challenges have you faced?
“Plenty! Imposter syndrome, relocation and working in an oversaturated market have all tested me on this crazy journey.”

What are your proudest achievements?
“I’ve won 7 photography awards, I’m a best-selling author and I’m still in business 11 years down the line.”

What advice would you give to new business owners?
“Take time to learn what you need to do for your business. Marketing and mindset are two game changers. Get systems in place early, so when you’re ready to scale, you’ll be ready.”

What do you love to do outside of business?
“I love to crochet, knit, sew and spend time with my son.”

What do you love most about The Women Who Business Community?
“Female companionship, being able to share the ups and downs with like-minded people. I’ve made close friends here and plenty of clients too.”

What would you say to someone thinking of joining us?
“If you’re looking for visibility, there are so many opportunities to get yourself seen in the community. If you’re looking for education or advice, there are a host of experts in all different fields who are always willing to help. If you’re looking for friendship and support, then you’ll find people who will fit the bill”
