Big Love For Values-Led VAs
Meet Vikki Brooks, the founder of Vikki Brooks Virtual Assistant and newly launched Values-Led VAs.
Vikki joined The Women Who Business Community within the last 3 months and even though we haven’t yet met face-to-face, it already feels like we know her. She’s a fantastic contributor in our online groups, always bringing value to the conversation and it’s been great to learn about her and her business.
Her business, Values-Led VAs, is a new venture launched this year (congratulations Vikki!) but Vikki herself brings over 13 years of experience in executive assistance and a further 5 years working virtually.
Through Values-Led VAs, Vikki brings together a team of talented virtual assistants with diverse skills and personalities, all dedicated to supporting small charities and micro-businesses.
We love seeing how Vikki is already making such a positive impact through her work.
Why she started her business
“I was at capacity with my own clients, but wanted to be able to help more small business owners to grow and thrive. Developing a membership was the perfect opportunity to support, empower, and connect my virtual assistants with businesses and charities that need their help”
What keeps her motivated
“I am passionate about supporting and helping people. It’s not always about money”
The challenges she’s faced
“My own self-confidence and outside challenges like caring for my mum”
Her proudest moments
- Reaching five years in business
- Having two of my clients with me for the entire journey
- Being shortlisted for a Networker of the Year Award
- Launching my membership and Trusted Suppliers Directory
Her advice for new business owners
“Don’t wait until you have all your ducks in a row, but make sure you do thorough research and speak to other business owners for help and guidance”
Life outside of work
“Spending time with my animals (We have a smallholding), plus being an avid supporter of rugby and motorbike racing”
Being part of The Women Who Business Community
“I love the support and encouragement. I have made some great connections through the online community and find the regular posts asking us to share our wins, goals, etc. really helpful and motivating.
Being part of a supportive community is worth its weight in gold. Being a business owner can be quite a lonely existence, so finding people who understand your challenges and can support you to overcome them, is so important”
