Big Love For Silver Lining Social
Meet Grace Price, the founder of Silver Lining Social.

Silver Lining Social is a digital marketing agency supporting female founders with social media, Squarespace websites, content creation and 1:1 marketing support – mainly in the wellness, lifestyle and creative space.
Grace has an eye for opportunity. At just eight years old, she began her entrepreneurial journey selling handmade jewellery on a beach. That early spark soon evolved into a genuine passion for creativity and selling; from launching her own eBay and Etsy stores to creating a fashion brand and designing a coffee cup collection. Entrepreneurship wasn’t something she stumbled into; it’s simply who she is.
Today, Grace brings that same creativity, drive and attention to detail into everything she does. Clients describe her as fastidious, organised and dependable – someone who not only has a strong strategic mind but also a meticulous approach to execution. Whether she’s planning a marketing campaign, refining brand messaging, or managing content with precision, Grace approaches every project with care and commitment.
Her outgoing personality makes her a joy to work with. She has a natural ability to develop rapport quickly, collaborate with ease and bring out the best in those around her. Grace doesn’t just “work with” teams, she becomes part of them, helping clients feel supported, confident and motivated to achieve their marketing goals.
We love having Grace at meetings, especially our Walk & Talks when she brings along her adorable sidekick, Pablo the sausage dog!
As part of Big Love For Small Business we asked Grace the following …
Why did you start your business?
I’d been working in marketing for years but really wanted to work for myself and escape the 9–5 and long commutes. I started helping a few friends and friends of friends on the side and eventually decided to just go for it. I was getting married six months later so had no choice but to make it work and honestly, that pressure gave me the push I needed!
What motivates you to keep going in your business?
Probably a cliché but freedom, flexibility and the potential to shape a life I actually love. Business goals, personal dreams… the dream house in Cornwall! I love that it’s all in my hands, there’s no one putting limits on what I can do or how far I can go. That sense of limitless potential really drives me. If I’ve got an idea and I’m willing to put the work in, no one’s stopping me and that’s not something I ever felt in an employed role.
What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced as a business owner?
Trying to do everything yourself. There’s so much behind the scenes that no one
sees, staying visible, managing clients, daily admin and planning for growth. You start a
business to do the thing you love and then quickly realise there are all these other components to running it, finance, systems, operations… the list goes on.
Learning to say no, trust your gut and back yourself is hard too. Knowing when to outsource (especially the stuff you’re not strong at – like finances for me!) has been a big learning curve.
What are some of your proudest wins or achievements in your business journey?
Being nominated for a Women Who award in 2024 was such a lovely surprise, it felt like a real ‘I see you’ moment from the community. Just reaching 2.5 years in business is a big one too!
And honestly, a huge achievement for me recently was taking two weeks off for a proper holiday. As a total control freak, I wasn’t sure I could do it and I won’t lie, I did check my inbox a few times, but just being able to step away and know everything wouldn’t fall apart felt massive. That’s the kind of flexibility I hoped for when I started and it finally feels like I’m getting there.
What advice would you give to someone thinking about starting their own business?
Get yourself a business email straight away and keep it all in one place. You don’t need every fancy subscription. Try not to rely on one or two clients, it’s good to have a few different income streams if you can. And don’t overthink it, you can tidy it up later, just start!
What do you love doing in your free time?
Walks with my husband and Pablo our sausage dog, planning our next holiday and working on our 1960s house renovation – slowly but surely turning it into a dream space. I also love Pilates for switching off and moving my body after a day at my desk.
What do you love most about our community?
It’s a really down to earth group and I’ve met some great people through it. It doesn’t feel overly formal or salesy, a space where genuine connections happen.
Do you have any stories that you’d wish to share about your time with The Women Who Business Community? Collaboration stories or friendships gained, increased confidence or a mindset shift when it comes to networking?
Definitely! I met Helen Yandall Photography and she did my brand photos and was one of the first people to help me understand how to actually network. She also pointed me towards business coaching in the early days.
Alene Morton PT has become a great friend – we chat all things business and life and keep it real.
And Nicole Hopkins is always there with the reflexology magic when I need to relax – she’s so generous with her advice and support.
What would you say to someone considering joining our community?
Try a couple of events and see how it feels. If your audience is here or you just enjoy the vibe, go for it! I was terrified of networking at first and didn’t know what to expect, but now I look forward to it.
