Why did you start your business?
Initially to just take on a couple of clients, but very soon, I enjoyed growing the business and helping out more and more business owners.
What motivates you to keep going in your business?
I enjoy helping out small businesses. I also enjoy the challenge of the reconciliations and getting paperwork in order!
What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced as a business owner?
Managing my time between client work and business work.
What are some of your proudest wins or achievements in your business journey?
Moving into a new office – meaning the business was growing.
A few recent clients, needed a considerable amount of work to bring them up to date – which we managed inside the deadlines.
What advice would you give to someone thinking about starting their own business?
Do lots of research, not just on your industry, but on running a business.
What do you love doing in your free time?
Visiting the Lake District
What do you love most about our community?
Building supportive friendships. There is always someone to give advice when you are struggling. It’s a great way to make good friends, and not only grow your business, but grow yourself.
