Meet Ella Shorthouse, the founder of EllaVate Digital and Oh So Sweet
Ella Shorthouse is the pocket rocket behind EllaVate Digital, a business dedicated to taking the stress out of digital marketing and helping you truly ‘EllaVate’ your online presence.
Through services in social media management, web design, content marketing, and content creation, Ella works with you to make your digital presence not just consistent, but impactful. Whether you need basic, standard, or premium management, she brings a blend of strategy, design, simplicity, and personal touch to everything she does.

In just eight months since launching EllaVate Digital, Ella has already made a significant impact, both personally and for the clients she supports.
Ella also owns a second business called Oh So Sweet, formerly known as Sweetboxes Shropshire. This business started as a passion project she created during the COVID19 Lockdown at the tender age of 14. Her offerings went viral across Tik Tok, and the rest is history.

What motivates you to keep going in your business?
Seeing the results I get for my clients’ businesses and proving that age is only a number!
What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced so far?
Knockbacks due to my age, people questioning my ability, pricing myself right, self-confidence and imposter syndrome, the list goes on.
What are some of your proudest wins?
Going viral on TikTok at age 15 with Oh So Sweet, launching EllaVate Digital at the age of 19 (I’m now 20) and working with a range of amazing businesses.
What advice would you give to someone thinking about starting their own business?
There’s never a right time. Believe in yourself and do what you’re passionate about. There will always be good months and bad months; stick with it, and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
What do you love to do in your free time?
Training for marathons!
What do you love most about The Women Who Business Community?
The supportiveness of everyone. I’ve never been part of such an inclusive community where people genuinely want the best for one another. I also love learning from everyone else.
Any stories to share from your time in our community so far?
I’ve had the pleasure of working with some lovely ladies in the Women Who and they’ve all recommended me which is just brilliant in helping my business thrive. I always leave every meetup feeling inspired and motivated by the group.
