Big Love For Naturally Grown Health

Meet Amy Woodcock, the founder of Stourport on Severn based small business, Naturally Grown Health.

Amy joined The Women Who Business Community in June 2022.

Amy set out to create products to transform her own skin; always the best start for any business. She’s a walking advert for her brand, having struggled with acne, rosacea and eczema herself and the results she achieved with her own skincare creations were incredible.

She offers a service called the Skin M.O.T  – This service offers one-to-one consultations where Amy takes the time to really understand the root causes of your problem skin and advises accordingly. She also hosts wonderful mobile pamper sessions, bringing a full skincare routine to you. A few of us on Team Women Who have taken part in these sessions and we love them!

Amy’s products smell amazing, deliver excellent results and a little goes a very long way. As a Skin Health Nutritionist and Natural Skincare Creator, she’s passionate about using nutrition, lifestyle medicine and natural skincare to help women in particular (though her products are also highly effective for men) to look and feel great from the inside out.

Why she started her business

“I suffered with skin problems for many years, acne, eczema and rosacea.

After trying so many different things and products, the change finally came when I worked with a nutritional therapist who helped me to solve my skin problems from inside out. It made such a difference to my life.

I went back to university and retrained so that I could help other people in the same way. I later went on to train in natural cosmetics making and set out to create my own skincare range, as I could not find products that were suitable for my sensitive skin and I knew that other people were having the same problem”

What keeps her motivated

“Seeing and hearing the fantastic results for my clients and customers. Some simple changes to their diet, lifestyle or skin routine, can make such a big difference. Seeing their confidence and self-esteem improve as a result makes it all worthwhile”

The challenges she’s faced

“Cash flow! and knowing how to reach the people who need my support”

Her proudest moments

“Creating my own natural skin care range, creating partnerships with clinics and salon owners in Worcestershire and helping hundreds of women and their partners, children/teens to have clear healthy skin”

Her advice for new business owners

“Work on your mindset, confidence and belief. Join a business community and just start, you can work the rest out as you go along”

Life outside of work

Amy loves working on her garden, growing her own food, going for a massage and being by the sea.

Being part of The Women Who Business Community

“I love being part of The Women Who Business Community because it is full of genuine, friendly and supportive women.

I have formed some great collaborations and received lots of business as a result of the community and developed so many connections and business relationships.

My first real experience of networking was when I started going to the Kidderminster group led by the lovely Kasia Ostler. This was a safe, friendly and welcoming space and as my confidence grew, I then went on to make the most of the promotional opportunities of the membership. I have delivered a skincare talk at all of the networking groups since, which has been amazing.

If you’re considering joining The Women Who Business Community Amy says “Don’t hesitate. It is such a great group to be part of and the fact that it continues to expand across to other areas makes it easier to get involved in lots of different ways. There are so many opportunities to grow your audience, work with other women, support other women and grow your business”

We’re so glad Amy chose to join us. Her passion for helping others, creativity and collaborative spirit are a real asset to The Women Who Business Community and her clients and customers, and us, are very lucky to have her!
